Mesh, Mesh Count, And Micron Size:
Mesh Count and Micron Size are very important terms in the wire
mesh industry.
The Mesh count is actually the number of holes in an inch length,
so the smaller mesh count,the hole is bigger.The Micron Size
actually means the hole size.Can be in miron or mm.
In order to make it easier for people to understand the number of
the holes of the wire mesh, these two specifications are usually
used together. This is the key component of specifying the wire
mesh. The Mesh Count determines the filtering performance and
function of the wire mesh.
Micron Size = size of mesh hole. (larger the micron size, larger
the mesh hole)
More intuitive expression: Mesh Count = number of mesh hole.
(larger the mesh count, the smaller the mesh hole).

The wire cloth is available in both 48” and 60” widths. We can
provide both full rolls and/or cut pieces depending on your
requirements. The vast majority of our customers request woven mesh
from 304 or 316 stainless steel, but we are also able to supply
type 430 and carbon steel in most cases.

application. If you need to determine the size of an existing
screen, we offer metal mesh counters.
They are small enough to put in your pocket and extremely easy to
use. Just unfold it and set it on a piece of wire mesh. The base is
a 1-inch square opening and the top is a magnifying glass.
There are different units of measure marked on the interior of the
base to assist you with identifying wire diameter, opening, and
holes per inch.
